1DAY 1: AIRPORT PICK UP AND TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL Kigali
You will be picked up by our guide and upon arrival you will be checked in and given a briefing of the next 10 days’ adventure in the country of a thousand hills
2DAY 2: KIGALI CITY TOUR Kigali
Your journey begins at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, a deeply moving and educational site where you'll learn about the tragic events of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The memorial offers a powerful narrative of how the genocide was planned and executed, revealing the devastating effects of divisive politics and propaganda. The tour continues through the historical heart of Kigali where the city first began on the way to Mount Kigali, the highest point in the city
3DAY 3: Leisure day Kigali
Enjoy a relaxed day in Kigali , A flexible day in Kigali, perfect for shopping, cultural visits, or simply enjoying the city’s warm hospitality.
4DAY 4: DRIVE TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK –SHORT DRIVE & BOAT RIDE Akagera
After breakfast mid-morning we will drive to Akagera National Park. Situated in the Eastern part of the country, Akagera national park is Rwanda sole savannah park.After checking in at our lodge, today we will enjoy a short game drive and a sunset boat ride
5DAY 5: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE AT AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK Akagera
Game drives offer an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, birds, and magnificent scenery especially that the park has more than 10 lakes itself. Akagera National Park, is home to over 500 bird species and a variety of mammals, including the Africa’s Big 5 (Lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, elephants, and cape buffalo) and other animals to look out for include: Giraffes, Bushbucks, Hippos and so many more
6DAY 6: BREAKFAST AND DRIVE TO MUSANZE Musanze
Today after taking breakfast while enjoying the breathtaking view of Akagera game lodge, we will drive 5 hours leaving behind the beautiful plain of the East heading to the mountainous Northern part of Rwanda, famously known for the five volcanoes and home to mountain Gorilla and Golden monkeys. Upon arrival to Musanze we will check-in then have a relaxing and evening afternoon at the hotel
7DAY 7: ENJOY GUIDED NATURE WALKS, IBY’IWACU CULTURAL VILLAGE VISITS Musanze
After breakfast, proceed for guided nature walks through the scenic surroundings, followed by a cultural immersion experience at the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village where you will discover Rwanda’s rich traditions, music, dance, and way of life
8DAY 8: DRIVE TO LAKE KIVU Rubavu
After enjoying your breakfast, we will then drive 1.5 hours’ through heading to Gisenyi, a vibrant town by lake Kivu upon arrival, you will check-in to the hotel and relax
9DAY 9: LEISURE DAY AND BOAT RIDE Rubavu
This is your day to simply unwind, relax, soak it all in at your hotel, take a boat trip and explore the lake, visit the community around
10DAY 10: Lake Kivu Leisure Rubavu
Optional: coffee plantation visit, hot springs, or simple village walk ,Swimming, kayaking then Transfer back to the airport.
